We will start our day with a trip to the Prince of Wales Museum to view and photograph the excellent collection of antiques, including artefacts from the Indus Vallay Civilisation including Mughal jades, textiles and ivory. The museum’s architecture is Indo-Saracenic; a blend of Muslim design with Indian materials developed by British architects in the late 19th Century. We will then visit the Jehangir Art Gallery to enjoy some local student artworks.

During the afternoon, we will visit the bustling and colourful markets of Mumbai, starting with the historic Crawford Market followed by the steel pot shops on Lokmanya Tilak Road and moving on to market stalls around Mumbadevi Temple, the shrine which gave Mumbai its name.
